The Dan Snyder era is (almost) over with the Washington Commanders.

Confetti rains on the streets of DC. So we’re looking back at the mediocrity of the Dan Snyder Era by doing a fantasy draft of the offense players from the last 24 years.

Here is the roster breakdown:

  • 1 QB
  • 2 RBs
  • 2 WRs
  • 1 TE
  • 1 Flex
  • 1 Kicker
  • 1 Coach

9 Rounds, 18 Picks. Snake draft style between Mike and Adam.

Since Adam is the long-suffering Commanders fan, he gets the first pick in the draft

ROUND 1

ADAM: Okay this is the absolute easiest pick on the board. It was short-lived and the falloff was IMMENSE. The man, the myth, the one-year legend himself

ROBERT GRIFFIN III

MIKE: I’m gonna go with one of my favorite non-Buffalo players as a kid. A man who I had on my first-ever fantasy football team. Kicking my team off with an elite receiver in Moss. Oh, wait, not that one

SANTANA MOSS

ROUND 2

MIKE: You know what’s better than one great receiver? Two of them. Teaming Santana Moss up with my next pick would be pretty….scary. Get it?

TERRY McLAURIN

ADAM: Oh now I’m in a pickle with a lot of good options. I think some of the guys I want will be there later so I’m going to go with the first jersey I ever had.

CLINTON PORTIS

ROUND 3

ADAM: Going back to back on the early-era guys that the fan base loves. Some may call this an overdraft but there’s not much depth at this spot so I’m getting in while the getting is good. Thats not boo’s you’re hearing folks they’re saying

CHRIS COOLEY

MIKE: When people hear the name Donovan McNabb they think two things. Costing Terrell Owens a Super Bowl and Campbell’s Chunky Soup. Well, move aside Donovan, because my next pick is the real soup man of Washington Football.

JASON CAMPBELL

ROUND 4

MIKE: Speaking of McNabb. My next pick was drafted in the sixth round using a pick Washington got when they traded McNabb away to Minnesota.

ALFRED MORRISS

ADAM: I did not Vike that. Absolutely sniped me and now we’re getting into the lower caliber starter range. Gonna start by getting the best WR in Philly history.

DESEAN JACKSON

ROUND 5

ADAM: I’m a little afraid to lose out on some WRs but I can’t let another RB snipe happen. Gotta go with the most underrated man in Washington

ANTONIO GIBSON

MIKE: Adam already took the best TE on the board so I’ll have to go with the strong second option and former Florida Gator.

JORDAN REED

ROUND 6

MIKE: If I could ask my next pick his opinion on Dan Snyder I’d imagine he’d say something along the lines of, “Mon patron est un connard!”

PIERRE GARÇON

ADAM: Okay admission time. I knew I was forgetting a Wide-out and I can’t believe I missed Garcon. That one hurts. I won’t let it happen again so I’ll go with the young guy out of Penn State

JAHAN DOTSON

ROUND 7

ADAM: Alright I have a QB, 2 WRs, 2 RBs and a TE. Time to grab the temporary GOAT kicker of the NFL. In 2018 he went 26/29 so that’s all I got

DUSTIN HOPKINS

MIKE: Sniped me on kicker and got the best option. With former Buffalo Bills 6th-round draft pick Hopkins off the board, I’m gonna have to pick up the phone and call the Slye Guy

JOEY SLYE

ROUND 8

MIKE: My team is assembled, but the boys still need a coach. I’ll take the only Snyder-era head coach to not have a losing record.

MARTY SCHOTTENHEIMER

ADAM: Gotta go pedigree over win percentage here. I know we can only count his second stint but the man means something damnit!

JOE GIBBS

ROUND 9

ADAM: I have two choices here. Do I improve my Wide Receiver room or lean into my strengths and try to box you out? Gonna go with the Toronto Raptors approach and just keep drafting one type of guy

BRIAN ROBINSON

MIKE: Wow, that’s cold-blooded. Man knows I need a second RB and still sniped me like his name is Bradley Cooper. Guess I’ll go with the biggest name left.
